Re: Invalid Password...

It looks like there was some difficulty with the server, it had temporarily gone down, it is back up now though.
I'm going to keep a close eye on things and make sure passwords are changed as they should be, so far things are looking ok

Re: Invalid Password...

Ah, forgets to comment that the error occurred when I wanted to book 2 continuous hours. The only way i found to can connect, is using one hour that already began (when it does not spend credits).

...But I lose 1 hour of transmission.

Re: Invalid Password...

A-hah!
Originally I thought it was to do with moving from beta.freecast.co.uk to freecast.co.uk, and it kind of was..
But there was ANOTHER error that meant only some passwords would be set and others would not.

I have now fixed it, thoroughly checked and re-checked the code .. if there's another error .. well, I will be suprised

:crosses fingers:

Thanks for all the reports everyone!

Re: Invalid Password...

Well I'm looking, and this slot has the same password set on both the shoutcast server and at freecast.co.uk, there appears to be no error.

Could you please e-mail me (andrew.rse@gmail.com) the password you were given?

I have booked the next slot .. to make sure it works

Re: Invalid Password...

neutral I did it by clicking on my slot in the booking sheet and then on "unbook this slot". Shouldn't I be able to do that?

I'll investigate now, my slot is about the become the present

Re: Invalid Password...

Right, I can't unbook it.
I don't think it's possible that the script would be screwing up and allowing certain people to unbook.

Also, the password did change as expected (the server time seems to be out by about 60 seconds, though).

You definitly clicked a blue slot?

Re: Invalid Password...

Very odd, if the script is messed up it should consistently mess up for all users (as there's no users levels or anything that the script recognises).

Oh well, it's worked fine for me. I guess we'll have to wait and see..

Re: Invalid Password...

Can't wait to broadcast, heh wink Btw, how many listeners can the server handle without losing quality?

Re: Invalid Password...

I don't know about loosing quality, but our limit is 50 at 56kbps.
We have a proper, professional shoutcast host (WaveStreaming.com plug plug plug wink) so I would assume a limit of 50 means it can handle 50.
Although, we have not tested this .. I'm just assuming.

Re: Invalid Password...

Well, after some testing the feedback I got from my listeners was great about the quality, but it seems there is a big delay between them, making interactivity (such as quizes and other games I usually make for my broadcasts) a bit poor. Other than that, it's perfect big_smile Congrats smile

Re: Invalid Password...

I Think the Delay it's totally normal, because the server receive the stream, and it distributes to the listeners, this take a little time. I can measure the delay, and it's about 24-30 seconds, anyway is very fast.

About "invalid password", I test in Friday, not time and listeners for the moment.

Thx!

Edited by my badly English, Sorry big_smile
